Well, another action packed week. Monday evening we cam eback home after teaching Sister Ess a little about the D&C besides discussing some of her problems and found a big problem of our own. As we sat down to eat dinner, our land0lady came in looking quite sick. She asked me to come into the other room which i did. There she told me something suprisingly sad, "Frau Fauhbusch ist gestopben" I was without words. The woman was 38 years old living on the floor above us. It seemed all to sudden. I asked for more info: how? When? but she said she didn't want to say anything at least until after the funeral. A cloud of mystery hung over the situation until the following Thursday. Something just didn't (stimmt) sit well. The other boarder Herr Kruger also knew no more. On this Thursday we went to the funeral. Our land0lady had talked to the Protestant Pfarr and explained the whole situation. As we sat in the church the Pfarr entered after the music from the organ and he began with a prayer he read out of a book. He was a young Pfarr.

Then the Pfarr gave a little history of Frau Fauhbusch. This was the first time I know for sure that she was married. She had three children with a man all living in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. She was separated from her first husband for some time and had just received her divorce ten days before her death. The Pfarr went on with the story of her life saying that it had always been difficult. Bad homelife bad marriage, and bad health. Then he explained how she had died. She took an overdose of sleeping pills. Why? I know our Haus Frau felt that it would have been avoided if she had been at home this day to comfort her. Was she in pain from the operation that she had had for a couple of weeks. No one can answer these questions. True she had cancer but whether she knew it or not is also "spilt milk". It was a sad funeral for some. It is funny, we, Becker and I, just couldn't see it as being so tragic. Just a change in existence or physical properties, the resurrection. It is good to have such a knowledge. Well, this week has gone by and now things are just about back to normal.

Our investigator situation is still going well. However we haven't been able to meet with some of our Gold people. But we have met some others that appear to be real good. A Signor Pratt, too the Book of Mormon right away from us, such interest!! Our Italian English class is also growing after another week we will integrate religious instruction with the academic phase and see if we can get some people in the water through this means.

I've set a goal for myself for the next ten days to learn the sixth lesson in the discussion so that I can consider myself a completely qualified Elder. Taking however a year to do it. Well, time is money and I've wasted a lot of both. But I hope it will be different in the future.
