Was I ever stiff today?! That playing horse was pretty hard on me. I guess I never use those back muscles.

Today had a lot of pleasurable moments. My companion (mit arbeiter) Elder Hendrickson, gave some G.B.D.S. to some real fine families. One fellow was a professor of Chemistry here at the “poly-Technic Institute” Also, when I got home this evening, I found some real interesting letters. One was from the Berges. When in the states, I gave them the 1st and 2nd discussions. They were Real fine people. Bob’s wife was really the organizer. She had neat inquisitive mind. I sure hope they join the church; it has so much to offer the people in helping them to develop their relents. Also, got a letter from Ron Schroeder, old colleague at Collings Radio. He wrote a wonderful letter about what they are doing back there, as well as, adding a lot of intellectual ideals that were compatible with my own. He said that I didn’t leave “to much undone” when I left. This mad me feel good because I tried to leave things in a real organized manner.

Also, got a letter from Penny. She sure is a great kid. A thought occurred to me with respect to her. Going on a mission wasn’t a real pleasurable thing because we like each other quite well, but I guess I could realize one thing. This was not a selfish act. If I wanted a vacation, I could have taken one, but this message is so important and as a by-product I know I will be a much better man. I sure am learning a lot about the people here, or you might say people in general. People are really interesting and especially the things that motivate them in their lives. It has been difficult for me to et a selfless attitude. Each day I realize how important it is to live a righteous life and work hard to bring to pass the things of our Heavenly Father. If we’ll do the things our Heaven father asks us, we will be happy, prosperous, understanding, kind and all the attributes of a wonderful person to be around, while bringing to pass the things of God and our salvation.
