Well, this week with the President here proved quite interesting. I think I'm somewhat of a skeptic with respect to a lot of religious ideas, but this last week sort of shook them. I'm sure that the people we talked to could feel the spirit and power of our President. During the conference that followed his visit just about all said they had more success when the President was with them than they would usually of had. The President worked with us in our evening work. We had a couple o meetings. The president decided to go with my companion since he hadn't worked with him before. My companion said that he had given the best first discussion in his life with the president there. He said he was really filled with the spirit. However, I and the second counselor weren't about to be out done. In checking back on an evening meetings we could a man that had been looking for the church, but due to the fact that we didn't ' have any material in Italian he hadn't found much. 

In the course of a week we have called back on him. I gave him the first in Italian. He is perhaps the most interest man I have seen on my mission. It is sort of interesting in that we have much of the same type of background. I kind of feel like he is the person I have been sent here to baptize. 

My companion and I are getting along quite well. I just wish we would study more together. I don't think I'm pushing him too hard.

We also have a good basketball league going. I believe we are getting more good contacts out of this than we get in a week of tracting. Also, the M.I.A. program should be our 1-2 punch.
