Well, last Saturday I was made a Senior Companion. It is quite an opportunity to do a lot of good work. I feel a little incapable but I think with a little help from the Lord, everything will work out well. I leaned a lot about people from my last companion, Mascaro. The only thing that was a little regretful was that he didn't speak too much about religion. But then maybe I shouldn't be too critical because he was instrumental in getting the Lawyer Cecchini baptized.
About a week ago we had two baptisms. One was the lawyer and the other was an Italian Laborer. I hope things keep going so.
I guess my Italian is to the passable level now. I just wish I knew more of the lesson plan. I've got part of the first memorized in Italian and three f the German lessons. I've been able to do a little bit of preaching in church both in Sunday school and at the baptismal service. Plus M.I.A. it has helped me a lot to do this. I just wish I had a better grasp on the language.
My new companion seems like a real good head. We worked together when he was only here about a week in the Zurich area. He has been out seven months and has very good German. I think that we will be leaning a lot of Italian together. He is from the Ogden area of Utah. He seems to have a good testimony and knowledge of the gospel. Well, I've been quite blessed to hear that Gilma had another boy. Now I have two nephews and two nieces. I hope that all goes well with Adohr and her pregnancy, I guess the only thing that we can do is pray. Well I had better do a little studying if I'm going to be an effective senior.
