We had another interesting week, but I just don't know about my companion. He is just too "Religious" I guess he is just a panty-waist, but he does know the language better than me. I would like to tell an interesting experience that we had. We came to this door and the name looked Polish. We range the bell, and a man coms out speaking Spanish. Then my companion stammers out with a little Italian. Then his wife comes out speaking German. They invited us in after a little self introduction. After talking with them a while we found out they were Jewish. We started to explain the Book of Mormon. After we explained how the people (Lehi & family) left the Old World and went to the new (America). The lady had a funny lo0k on her face. We explained a little more about the Book of Mormon and the story. She said to my surprise. I guess having seen many of her friends to America. " Well, I guess everything goes to America, even Religion". In retrospect I guess it was sort of funny. Ashe also talked of American Religion as being modern in contrast to the European treatment of the Christian Religion. After thinking over some of her ideas i think she made some interesting observations.

On our diversion day we arranged to have a basketball game with the American School here in Lugano. We played it this afternoon. We got beat by 4 points, not too bad for missionaries. The score was 36-32. We made some real good friends and hope to play them in the future. There are about 100 kids at the school. We were told that it costs about $3000/year to attend--EXPENSIVE! There are about two girls to every boy there. They also promised to find a better court to play on next time. Seeing as we played outside on a day after a rain storm lawn. We looked like football players after it was all over.

The language is coming along pretty good, I can understand quite a bit. But whenever I want to say something it comes out in half German and English, but I'm going to make the big push next week.
